Dr. Katerina Dudley

(She/Her/HErs)

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Katerina Dudley, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specialized in completing developmental assessments of young children and diagnostic evaluations across the lifespan. In addition to conducting assessments, Dr. Dudley leads group therapy, including the Unstuck and On Target curriculum for elementary-aged children. Dr. Dudley completed her postdoctoral clinical fellowship at CAAT, where she specialized in neurodevelopmental and diagnostic assessments under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Gates Ulanet, Psy.D. and Dr. David Black, Ph.D.

Prior to joining CAAT, Dr. Dudley obtained her Clinical Psychology doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after completing her APA-Accredited pre-doctoral internship at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. At UNC Chapel Hill, Dr. Dudley received extensive training on conducting developmental and diagnostic assessments at the TEACCH Autism Program, as well as providing individual and group therapy for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) across the lifespan. She has experience in completing assessments and providing therapy in a variety of settings, including children’s hospitals, outpatient and inpatient clinics, community clinics, and private practices. Dr. Dudley is also well-versed in working with a range of complex challenges, including behavioral difficulties, anxiety and mood disorders, and attention and learning differences. In both assessment and treatment, Dr. Dudley aims to implement a strengths-based approach that seeks to understand the whole individual and their unique learning style. When addressing challenges and sharing assessment results, Dr. Dudley seeks to work alongside a child’s family to create a treatment plan to address their needs at home, at school, and in their community.

In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Dudley has published research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and co-authored chapters evaluating evidence-based treatments for individuals with ASD, with a focus on supporting adolescents in their transition to adulthood. She has a special interest in treating anxiety, executive functioning, and emotion regulation challenges through cognitive-behavioral (CBT), parent-training, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) treatment approaches.
