Forensic Services

We provide expert testimony and complete medical-legal evaluations related to the neuropsychological functioning of individuals. Dr. Black is an internationally recognized expert who has specialized experience working with individuals suspected of having autism spectrum and related disorders. The scope of forensic services includes expert witness testimony related to autism diagnostic evaluation and neuropsychological assessments.

Our clinical staff includes Dr. Robb Mapou, a nationally recognized expert on specific learning disorders and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults. Dr. Mapou also provides medico-legal work related to traumatic brain injury, from mild to severe, and has completed capacity evaluations of adults with dementia. In addition, he is doing an increasing amount of medico-legal work related to autism in adults. The scope of his services includes expert witness testimony related to neuropsychological aspects of these disorders.

Thank you again for your outstanding and thorough help for us and [our son] throughout — going all the way back to our first meeting, and then all the way through to your very valuable (and lengthy!) testimony.  Your involvement, notes, observations, suggestions, expert testimony — all were so key.  Having [his] educational needs met and secured are of course priceless, for us and especially for him. And the improvements just since last summer are so promising… We feel very fortunate… very fortunate. Thank you again for everything.”
