Dr. Alix Mansbach

(She/Her/HErs)

Clinical Psychologist

Alix Mansbach is a licensed clinical psychologist who obtained her psychology doctoral degree from the Professional Psychology Program at George Washington University after completing her APA-Accredited pre-doctoral internship through the Centerstone Consortium in Florida. Dr. Mansbach then completed a two-year neuropsychology post-doctoral fellowship at CAAT under the supervision of Dr. David Black. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Dr. Mansbach was a clinical social worker, having obtained her MSW from Columbia University.

Dr. Mansbach has extensive experience conducting diagnostic, psychological, and neuropsychological evaluations for adults and children (age 9+) in hospitals, schools, community mental health settings, and private-practice settings. She is committed to understanding her clients’ psychological and emotional experiences as a necessary component of understanding neuropsychological functioning. She is particularly skilled at using neuropsychological evaluations to help her clients understand and navigate complex diagnostic presentations (i.e., depression, anxiety, trauma-based symptoms), secondary to years of masking their ADHD and/or autism symptoms. Dr. Mansbach also has expertise in conducting comprehensive disability evaluations to help her clients and their families obtain long-term services.

In addition, Dr. Mansbach specializes in couples and family therapy. She holds a post-graduate certificate in Couples and Family Therapy from the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York City. She has also completed Level 3 Training in Gottman Method Couples’ Therapy and holds a certification in Neurodiverse Couples Counseling through The Association for Autism and Neurodiversity. Dr. Mansbach also holds a post-graduate certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the American Institute of Psychoanalysis.
