Post Doctoral Fellow
Yelena McGraw, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychology postdoctoral fellow with experience in neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and her doctoral degree from Palo Alto University, with a major area of study in clinical neuropsychology. She is passionate about understanding how the brain affects behavior and using this knowledge to support patients throughout their care.
Dr. McGraw’s research interests include understanding how sports-related concussions affect cognitive functioning. Her dissertation examined pediatricians’ knowledge and practices around concussion, highlighting the importance of early recognition and team-based care for youth athletes.
Dr. McGraw completed her predoctoral internship at the UCSD/VA San Diego Psychology Internship Training Program, where she conducted cognitive assessments, provided individual and group therapy, and worked closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams. She has also worked with veterans at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center and contributed to NIH-funded research projects at the University of California, San Francisco, and Stanford University School of Medicine, focusing on genetic and developmental conditions.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. McGraw is committed to giving back to the community. She has volunteered with local and international organizations, offering mental health support and resources to individuals facing challenging circumstances.
