Dr. Emily Friedman

(She/Her/HErs)

Clinical Psychologist

Emily Friedman, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist who provides both assessment and therapeutic services. In addition to testing, she offers individual psychotherapy to adults, children and adolescents. Dr. Friedman is also a therapist for our PEERS® social skills program.

Dr. Friedman takes an integrative approach to her work. She sees her clients as part of a larger system, taking into account the roles of family, school, work, and social relationships. Dr. Friedman utilizes both cognitive-behavioral and insight-oriented techniques. She is committed to helping others achieve meaningful and fulfilling lives. In her work with parents, she takes a positive approach and focuses on enhancing the relationships within the entire family unit.

Dr. Friedman earned her doctorate from The George Washington University and she completed her training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Friedman has worked with individuals across the lifespan and in a variety of settings. She has served as an early childhood mental health consultant and she has extensive experience working with adults and children in both schools and in medical settings.

Dr. Friedman is a member of the Maryland Psychological Association. In addition to her work as a psychologist, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
