Dr. Will Forbess

(HE/HIM/HIS)

Post Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Will Forbess is a Clinical Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellow with experience in neuropsychology assessment and therapy across lifespan. He has experience performing assessments for ADHD, Autism and other neurodevelopmental differences, specific learning disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, traumatic brain injuries, and epilepsy.

Moreover, while working in both outpatient and inpatient treatment, he provided therapy for daily stressors, severe and chronic mental health symptoms, guided clients through coping skills to manage their stressors, and assessed the impact of symptoms on an individual’s daily life.

Dr. Forbess is interested in understanding the whole person and creating targeted recommendations and treatment to reinforce strengths and manage the stressors of psychological diagnoses. He is motivated to help individuals understand themselves, including both barriers and strengths, as they move toward their personal goals. This approach has guided him in providing neuropsychological evaluations, recommendations, and treatment across all age groups.

Dr. Forbes completed his undergraduate education in Behavioral Neuroscience at Center College, a master’s degree from the University of Kentucky in Medical Science, and a master’s and doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology from Adler University.

Dr. Forbess completed pre-internship practica in neuropsychology assessment and cognitive behavioral therapy across lifespan from children to geriatric populations. His predoctoral internship was completed at Larned State Hospital where he performed neuropsychological, psychological, and forensic assessments.

His master’s research investigated the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease related protein-protein interactions. His doctoral dissertation investigated the effects of ADHD medication on adult sleep disturbances.
