CAAT treatment programs offer research-based curricula designed to help clients in different age groups gain flexibility, begin goal setting, learn effective planning, and collaborative problem-solving skills. Our executive functioning skills groups are structured in a way that facilitates the transference, or generalization, of skills from our clinical group setting to real world situations.
Executive functioning skills programs involve student and parent groups, providing both client segments an overview of skills and methods to reinforce them. Clients and parents must both attend the weekly group sessions for the program interventions to be successful.
We currently offer Executive Functioning Skills Groups for Elementary age and will have Middle school and High school groups in the near future:
Grades 3 – 5
For students age 8-11 who struggle with self-advocacy, compromise, friendships and social cues, emotional self-identification and executive functioning.
Primary Objective: to improve flexibility
High School
For college-bound high school juniors and seniors who struggle with executive functioning and organizational planning. Flexible Futures does not focus on academic skills, but on self-advocacy.
Primary Objective: time management, anticipating and adjusting to obstacles.
