Clinical Psychologist
Julia Blasey, Ph.D., is a clinical and school psychologist who provides assessment and therapeutic services for children and adolescents. Dr. Blasey currently conducts psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments with youth from preschool through college age. She also facilitates therapy groups for school-aged children, including Unstuck and On Target and PEERS® social skills programs.
Dr. Blasey has experience working with youth with a variety of needs including learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum, behavioral challenges, and mental health conditions. Prior to joining CAAT, Dr. Blasey served as a school psychologist with Virginia public schools for five years. Given her extensive knowledge of special education and other school-based supports, Dr. Blasey is passionate about helping families navigate these processes and learn how to best advocate for and support their child’s unique needs.
Dr. Blasey completed a doctoral externship with the Kennedy Krieger Institute focused on behavioral therapy support for children with Autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. She also worked at the University of Maryland Accessibility and Disability Service, providing support to college students with disabilities. Her research interests focus on improving access and use of disability-related accommodations for youth with disabilities.
Dr. Blasey is dually licensed as a clinical and school psychologist. She earned her doctorate degree in school psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park and holds a B.S. in Psychology and Education from Davidson College.
