Neuropsychological Evaluation

A neuropsychological evaluation helps children, teens, and adults better understand how they think, learn, manage emotions, and navigate daily life.

At CAAT, we provide neuropsychological evaluations for individuals who have, or may have, learning disorders, attention challenges, emotional dysregulation, self-regulation difficulties, autism, social challenges, or other concerns that affect school, work, relationships, or everyday functioning.

“Each individual is unique; recommendations and plans for intervention are developed on an individualized basis, and tailored to best address the individual’s needs.”

First, our clinicians look closely at each person’s cognitive, social, emotional, developmental, and educational needs. Then, we explain the results in clear, relatable terms. This helps clients and families better understand both the challenges and the strengths that shape daily life.

Every individual is different. Because of that, each neuropsychological evaluation leads to personalized recommendations. These recommendations are tailored to the person’s needs, goals, learning style, and strengths.

CAAT evaluations provide a full neuropsychological profile. In addition, we place a strong emphasis on identifying strengths. This helps clients, families, schools, therapists, and other professionals focus on building the skills needed for long-term success.

Once we understand the neuropsychological profile, we can help create a practical treatment plan. This may include therapy goals, school recommendations, executive functioning supports, referrals, or other intervention services. Whenever possible, we recommend supports that use the person’s strengths to address areas of difficulty.

A neuropsychological evaluation is appropriate for children age six and older, adolescents, and adults. For children younger than 6, please see Developmental Evaluation.

Call the office or use our online form to set-up an intake call with our client services liaison to schedule a neuropsychological evaluation.
