(She/Her/Hers)

Speech and Language Pathologist

Abigail Brandt, MA, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with more than 10 years of experience working with neurodiverse individuals and families. Prior to joining CAAT, Ms. Brandt worked at Children’s National Hospital’s Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders as part of their interdisciplinary team, conducting autism assessments and providing individual and group intervention. She is also involved in clinical work and research using Unstuck and On Target to support the development of executive functioning skills in preschool-age children.

Ms. Brandt’s clinical work focuses on the development of therapeutic supports and diagnostic assessment of neurodiverse and autistic individuals from early childhood to young adulthood. She celebrates neurodiversity in her clinical work and takes a functional, strengths-based approach to assessment and intervention. Ms. Brandt has participated in specialized training, including ADOS-2 administration, SOS Approach to Feeding, Social Thinking: We Thinkers! curriculum, Lindamood-Bell (Talkies & Visualizing/Verbalizing program), and Unstuck and On Target!. She is a Hanen certified speech-language pathologist with training in It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words, and TalkAbility programs.

Ms. Brandt received her bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and her master’s degree from George Washington University. She completed a clinical fellowship with the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders through Children’s National Hospital.
