Early detection and intervention are critical to successful outcomes for young children with developmental challenges. Our program provides a rapid response assessment with less wait-time than other community-based assessment programs and treatment planning utilizing the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) as its foundation.
Assessment and Treatment for Infants and Toddlers (12-36 months)
A two-hour in-office assessment appointment for our youngest clients, working directly with licensed developmental specialists. Children may receive an immediate diagnosis, if warranted, along with an individualized “road-map” for parents to prioritize and initiate immediate short-term and long-term action plans for treatment/intervention through community services. Diagnostic assessment and treatment planning through DARRTT can be less expensive than more traditional diagnostic approaches.
Early diagnosis and acute intervention of suspected autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or atypical development in very young children.
Assessment data is utilized for diagnostic clarification necessary for medical and educational referral, while also serving as a baseline for later evaluation of response to intervention (RTI).
Interim treatment through DARRTT is available for focused, short-term and evidence-based developmental therapy. Several intensive intervention sessions will encompass parent education while providing an overview of the basics in treatment and intervention including:
- Introduction to the principals of early intervention as they apply to your child’s needs
- Leading and extending play-based interactions
- Foundational prelinguistic skills and communication skills
- Supporting and facilitating social interactions
- Sensory processing, behavioral and emotional regulation
Referrals for DARRTT evaluations may come from parents, pediatricians, or other child care providers.
Call the office or use our online form to set-up an intake call with our client services liaison to schedule a DARRTT evaluation.
